Update on the Job
Hey Reader,

Well, I am officiall unemployed again. Sigh.

I went to the temp agency, and I gotta say, I feel really shafted. They told me that the boss at the place I was working at simply "terminated the position without any explanation." What ticks me off about it is the fact that the boss couldn't tell me to my face on Friday, that the job was over. He told me, and I quote, "I won't be needing you next week so don't come in." Not "The temporary position has ended, just so you know" or "We're sorry, but we're going to have to let you go because the job is over." He didn't have the balls to say it to my face. That's what ticks me off the most about it. I always knew that it was a temporary job, but I was never, ever given a "The job will start on X day and end on Y day." Hell, I didn't even get a clear description and explanation of the job before I started. All I can say is I'm just glad I got about $1000 out of the deal and can now start the search for another position some place else. I just think they oughta had a little more decency in how they approached the whole thing.

In other news, I'm very, very close to finishing the rough write on the one-shot. So very, very close. My beta likes how it is turning out, and she is back from her trip, so once I finish it, I'll send it to her, she'll give me her thoughts and corrections, and you'll get to read it! So that's something to look forward to!

Until next time,

I'm really sorry about this one, but did you find out any more about the other you mentioned that you could actually put your skills to work for? Anyway, I hope something much better comes along that you might have missed if you were still stuck in the other for a few more weeks.

On the other hand, you have time to write again. At least you have something to occupy your time, rather than wait and worry.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out for the best.

No, and I truly forgot to ask them when I was there. Quite frankly, I doubt they'd have a damn clue about it and would just tell me "If they are interested in you, they will contact you." It seems to be their standard response and reaction to everything. They say and do very little and what they do say is very vague. I think they keep it that way to cover their asses.

I will be applying to a few places tomorrow, and I am crossing my fingers to get something, anything, for extra money. I have my student loans coming up soon, on top of my car insurance and car payments to keep up with. I was going to pay off my Anytime Credit Reserve at the bank this month, but I won't until I get another job. I want to conserve every dime in my active account as much as possible, so I will wait. As long as I can get a job, go to the race track for my birthday, go to the Festival for my mother's, and write, I'm good to go.

I also got a nice trim today. All the nasty ass split ends are gone. If I can, I'll try to get one each month. My hair is super long and super thick so I would like to take very good care of it. And I can't cut it off...it makes me cry. It's about the middle of my back now that they trimmed about an inch and a half off..it used to be right at my waist. It'll grow out again to that length, hopefully without the nasty split ends.

And yes, I will be occupied during the search on writing! Yay for that at least! Still pretty shitty way to terminate someone's job, though.

I have thick, curly hair. I go every couple of months and have the color redone, and she trims it about an inch every other time. then, once a year or so I'll have three inches or so whacked off just to get all of the ends good. It's usually getting fairly long (for me) by the time I do that. It's usually anywhere between just past shoulder lenght to down around the bottom of my shoulder blades, but since I keep it pulled up or back most of the time, you usually can't tell.

Probably every couple of months is the most you'd need to keep the ends trimmed pretty good unless you are particulary hard on your hair.

I tend to wake up naturally sometimes with Farrah Fawcett hair. I don't do anything but brush and comb and wash it. I just wake up sometimes and BAM, there it is. Except mine is much prettier, at least I think so.
