A Job! I Have a JOB!
So Damn Hot
Hey Reader,

It finally happened. I have been hired! I'm excited, yet terrified all at the same time. I start on Monday, which is very soon. Where will I be working? I will be working at Schwan's. You will know this company better for such frozen food items such as Red Baron pizza, Freschetta, and other frozen food items. Their latest item is those Asian Sensations.

I am looking forward to working, yet I wish it wasn't so early in the morning. I will have to get up at 6 and be at work by 7:30. I do not like mornings as it is, but I do know I need the money! My job will be to sort papers and bind them together. I'm not sure what they're supposed to be about, but I'm sure I will find out. It pays $8 an hour, so I'm excited about that, since that means about every two weeks I'll be paid $700 or so. I have never been paid that much at any one time in my life, save student loans which do NOT count. All I can say is I hope I don't screw it up and make a fool out of myself and get fired. It's only a temporary job, lasting for about a month and a half, but because it's Schwan's there is a chance to go on in the company with a different job after this one---provided I do a good job.

Now I know what you're saying, you'll be working M-F, 7:30 to 4:30 PM every day. What about the story? Have no fear. I will continue to write the story, trust me. I couldn't just stop that now could I? But you would like me to eat, right? Or at least have my car payments covered! It just might put an even longer delay on the current chapter, as I adjust to the new hours and everything that goes along with it. I just hope I can do a good enough job and keep it.

A job! I finally have an honest to goodness JOB! Yay! Now what to buy for a congrats gift to myself. . .hmmm.

Until next time,

Far Away Eyes

PS. Now I want more icons...perhaps if I do well in my job. . .

Congrats! And you will find out, it really isn't so bad. I'm not a morning person at all, but at one point I had a job where I had to be there by 6:45 AM. But it was nice getting off at 3:45. I mean even in the winter there was still some daylight left, and there was tons of time to get things done when I got home. Even now, I'm the first one in where I work every morning, but I get to leave at 4:00 while the others are still drudging away. I don't catch all of the traffic and have plenty of time to run any errands I need to after work.

The biggest thing is, no more staying up half the night if you want to be able to function. But you'll get on a schedule and adjust. Believe me, I've been there.

I think I would feel a little bit better if the job placement place that got me the job had actually explained more of exactly what I will be doing. I asked, believe me. They were pretty vague. I figure, I know where the place is and when I work, the rest will come.

And yeah, I am a night owl by nature. This will be the hardest thing about the job. I find I hit my big writing creativity late at night. I did this with my college schedule shifting towards the morning. It's a little bit earlier, but it is doable. I just will miss the late nights, save perhaps Fridays?

I would be a night owl it my schedule allowed it. As it is, I'm still up late on Friday and Saturday, but still have to try and be in bed at a decent hour in order to get to work and be functional the next day.

I hope everything goes well. Who knows, maybe this one will lead to more opportunities.

I have heard that once you're in with Schwan's you have a greater chance of getting a bigger job. We shall see. I just hope I can do well enough and earn some good cash. If I do, maybe I'll spring for the icon storage. How much icon space do you have and how much does it cost you?

Well, you have to have a paid account, and then I think it was $10 more. However, if you don't purchase it at the same time, they prorate it so it renews at the same time as the paid account. It's really sad - I've almost filled up my limit of 105...

And now, I'm really going to try and go to bed...

I will have to think about it, then. Depends how much money I make and how long I keep the job.

I hope it leads to bigger and better things. And, Good Luck tomorrow!!!
