Nooooooooooooooooo NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So much for my weekend plans.

I do hope Trent will feel better soon. I WAS going to go to a Nine Inch Nails concert this weekend, but he's sick, so now it's postponed until November 25th. One problem. That's THREE DAYS BEFORE BLACK FRIDAY. How am I going to manage to get that off?? Somehow, someway I WILL get Tuesday and Wednesday off. One way or another. I didn't spend the money I did and get all excited for nothing. I will see this show. Hell, I have time banked and it's not like someone can't sub for me. But damn. WHY did they have to rebook it on such an awful week?

Now I'm bummed. It'll take some real arm twisting, I just know it.

Until next time,

Can you go ahead and tell them now and see what they say? It wasn't your fault and you are giving them plenty of warning even if the timing sucks. They might be willing to work it out if you tell them about it now.

Considering there are at least five people who know my job, I'm HOPING to hell they'll give me the days. I haven't taken a single day off since I took the job and, honestly, I can't remember the last time I took any time off AT ALL.

That being said, I do have at least 30 hours of vacation banked and 40 hours of personal banked. I think I should get at least two days off, even if they're sucky timing considering the week, but damn it. I want to go to this concert. Would it really be fair to deny me that? Honestly?

I'll probably tell them Monday, talk to my managers. My one manager has been creepily nice to me all week long, so hopefully when I ask him for those days off (the Tuesday of the show and the Wednesday afterwards) he'll give it to me. It's sucky ass timing, but what can you do? It's not like I haven't had my tickets since May, after all.
