Well, there went another weekend

Well, despite the concert being postponed, I still managed to get diddly done on the chapter this weekend. Ah well. I've been too hyper, and I've noticed that Sesshomaru has decided to despise Nine Inch Nails, which is tough, since I love them. Maybe if I try and stick to Ghosts. . . He wants his Depeche Mode badly.

I managed to talk to my boss today, and he's fine with me taking those two days off. Yayzors, because I didn't want to stay up for two days. I am determined to go to this concert. That doesn't mean the updates about the current Chicago show at nin.com don't hurt, damn it. And, I keep looking and seeing the song currently played with a photo of the show and I'm so depressed. Sigh. At least it's a go (fingers crossed and a prayer) in November!

The good thing is I'll be able to better plan the merchandise buy for the concert. The t-shirts I've seen in pictures posted online RULE. At $35 bucks a piece, though, if I want a couple I'll have to bring a bit more cash than originally planned. I also haven't decided if I want to buy a lithograph of the show when it comes time. I wonder if it'll have the rescheduled date printed on it---or will it have the original? I wonder what one is worth more in the long run.

I'm also gonna blow some money before the show on some new NIN shirts to wear to the show, rather than spend money on manga this month. We'll see, but with the Renaissance Festival this month, I have to pick and choose. I'm feeling the Art Is Resistance shirt.

Hopefully when I get home tomorrow I can actually, oh I don't know, manage to get some writing done. Imagine that.

Until next time,

Far Away Eyes

I didn't think you worked on Sunday, but I'm glad you got that settled so you don't have to worry about it. And at least you have a few months to save now that you know what the merchandise is going to cost. It may work out better in the long run for you that way.

FYI, I posted the review response to the last reveiw you left me today. I don't know if you saw it, but since it'll be a few more days before I can do the others I decided to go ahead an put yours up. It's long enough it should get it's own spot when I'm not spamming the flist, anyway.

Sorry you didn't get any writing done, but glad your weekend was good overall. I didn't get much done either outside of a drabble and short oneshot. I have to get stuff planned out in my head before I can put it on paper, and it just didn't happen this weekend.

I don't work on Sundays. I went in on the extra teammate discount day and talked to him so I could get it squared as soon as possible. I'm just glad it was so easy and that I'll be able to go.

I also have been keeping an eye on the merchandise photos other fans have posted in the ninternet. I love the "Lights in the Sky" tour shirt. It has this spaceship thing that reminds me eerily of the X-Files---OLD school X-Files, like season 1, with the triangle shaped ships. I'm so getting that one. I also like the other one with the tour dates in red on black, so I might get both.

I saw it, but haven't had a chance to respond just yet. I had to clean my room up today as it was a disaster. Maybe I'll be able to focus now that it's not a clutterfest in here.

Despite the lack of a concert, I've been wired this weekend. I went to the Cities to visit my beta yesterday anyways, and then I was trying to plan for the concert, considering the reschedule date. As my bootleg dealer says, when it comes to Trent, "THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME!" Sigh. Now it's time to get settled and go back to work.

At least football season starts on my birthday---and I'll probably get to go to a Twins baseball game for my birthday weekend. Yay!

Extra discounts are always a good thing - and I'm glad you got it settled so you don't have to fret about it. It never hurts to make plans early.

Unfortunately, tomorrow is MOnday and back to work. I just can't believe it's August already. Where has the time gone?

Animefest falls the weekend right after my birthday (it starts on Friday, and my birthday is that Thursday). I'll have to not get carried away since my renter's and car insurance is also renewed then, but at least it's already taken care of (I just have to remember the money will be drafted from my account about then). Plus, I bought enough stuff at AKON that I hope I won't feel the need for a lot at this one. I want the 7th volume of Trinity Blood that's come out, and the ones of InuYasha past what I've got (which is through 30). If I found a Sango action figure that goes with my others I might get it, but I'm going to try not to get carried away like I did last time. For one thing, I don't have that much room to put stuff.

And that's okay you haven't responded, I just wanted to make sure you knew it was there so you wouldn't think I ignored you when I do the others later in the week.

So you like the heavy stuff, huh? Write me back if you like Metallica, judas Priest, or Van halen.

I'm not a big fan of any of those, except maybe Van Halen, and that's Sammy Hagar era, mind you.

I'm a bigger fan of Tool and A Perfect Circle and some Manson.

But then again, I'm eclectic. My fave three bands are the Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails, and Depeche Mode.

Manson music is good but he scares the sh*t out of me. Plus using the American flag as TP did p*ss me off.

But I like the stones too.

Manson does the things he does to shock people and get them talking about him. It doesn't bother me so much that he did that simply because it's part of his gimmick. Besides, we all know it's Trent Reznor's fault he's not just Brian Warner and a drum machine in the first place.

What about Dragonforce? And if there are any Metallica songs th you DO like please tell me.

May Metallica be with you

How can you not like David Lee Roth. Jump, Panama, Aint talkin bout love runnin with the devil?

Adding you for the epic...

I found The Journey to the City of Endless Night on AFF a while back, (sometime last year I think..) and spent several nights reading it (may have left a comment or two as well, but can't really remember...Of course, I think I'd forget my head if it weren't securely attached.:P)...I had no idea you had an LJ or I'd have friended you ages ago!

by the way, if your Sesshoumaru likes Depeche Mode, you ought to expose him to some Abney Park...I think he'd appreciate "Kine" and "Hush" especially.

Hey FAE!

Just wanted to wish you Happy Birthday!

Hang in there on the writing!
